You can in point of fact survive a BoP alpha strike if you're quick to react; I'm pretty sure that I've turned around and killed Minimax many more times than he's been able to 1-shot me. There is a split-second window of opportunity during which you can react to the attack, or have a team mate throw you some support and then you'll be fine. Having alert escorts around to attack the BoP and disrupt the attack is also crucial.
