FAW is definitely a damage boost on a single target.
My problem is, that I am rarely fighting a single target. I usually pack something less situational.
Where I LOVE FAW though, is when I'm tanking fleet actions. It's utility in gaining and keeping aggro is unmatched. In that case, I pair it with APD
(but, in that scenario, DPS isn't my job, heh)
