We've always been able to invite any player to our ship interiors, I wonder why they choose to do this. IF I were to guess; I would say it's to prevent players of the wrong allegiance being able to use their fleet credit to purchase unique items that are not apart of their faction, but then I'm sure there's other ways to prevent that, like the purchase requirements affixed to specific items.
