But yeah, they should appear wearing the same EV suit style that you are wearing. Speaking of which, on my first completion of the Tholian Boss (interior Hard mission), I managed to snag a
purple EV suit, which appears to be part of a set. At this time, I don't remember the name, but the additional pieces appear to be a weapon, and personal shield (as you would expect from a ground set).
