There is no way in hell ME3 deserves to be on that list over the first game. ME1 had clunky gameplay and some really bad design choices like a poorly thought inventory system and a planetary exploration minigame that unfortunately had badly designed planetary surfaces (fractal landscapes of DOOOOM). But it had something, something its sequels lacked. I don't know what it is, but in retrospect I find I enjoy the first game much more than its sequels. Maybe it is just as simple as the first game having good writing in comparison.
Similarly, Oblivion in no way shape or form deserves to be on this list, although I haven't played Morrowind, so I can't compare the two. Oblivion typifies dull, bland gameplay that is dressed up really well in pretty graphics. It's all style, no substance.
