I would even go so far as to say that I would even like it if we could "stock" our mission with rewards. Even if we have to pay for them with dilithium, or provide them with other characters. For example, I could just buy up a hundred Alien boffs and customize them in the editor, then attach them to my mission.
However, I'm not sure how practical that would be, since I'd have to somehow support the rewards myself, and I don't know that I could keep up with it.
What if there was an option to use the dilithium generated by each mission to "level up" the reward. Or it could be linked to a mission having a certain number of plays. Like after 20 plays you get a certain basic reward, then it's upgraded after 100, 1000 or whatever. The numbers obviously are open to adjustment.
In general having a reward based off of mission length would be the best, but even in that case it would be nice to be able to select between a few different options, like a Boff as opposed to a random deflector dish.
