Granted... the Fleet Weapons are easy to get if you are in a given fleet, etc

They're far more available and cheaper to get compared to MK XII [acc]x3, particularly for energy types like Anti-proton. [dmg] may be a weak modifier, but it's stacked 3 deep, with a 4th mod on top. If I'm understanding things correctly, the base DPS of a weapon is influenced by the rarity of the weapon, and fleet weapons are ultra-violet rarity pushing the base DPS higher than what you can get on the exchange. All in all, pretty nice for PvE. If you're wanting to constantly hit and crit fast high-Defense escorts in PvP, yeah, probably not your cup of tea unless you have something boosting your targeting.
