You would be quite wrong on so many levels. The Akira was conceived of as a carrier crossed with a torpedo ship. Nearly 500 meters long, pushing 400 meters wide, with almost the entire "saucer" being taken up by hangar space. She's a Heavy Cruiser, but Cryptic shoved her in with escorts 1/3 to 1/4th her size for god knows what reason. Scale in STO is beyond terrible on many, many ships. I'll be nice and save the crew compliment rant for another thread as well.
