# 1 Science BO question

OK I keep hearing about an ability to detect cloaked ships. Yet every time i ask no one seems to know what skill it is in game. I've looked at different BO ability pages and haven't seen anything. Only thought is it is the Mask energy skill which also stats a VERY high perception to cloaked ships vs the resistance to being seen. Only reason i have my doubts is no one states that is the effect on the BO ability websites.

They might mean the captain skill, sensor scan.

Quote:
Sensor Scan

Reduces the Damage Resistance of the target and nearby hostile ships while increasing your perception, making it easier to detect enemies.
Also tractor beam decloaks/prevents cloak, as does charged particle burst and gravity well. Other aoe skills can hit cloaked ships and sometimes decloak them I think? Like tractor repulsors, tyken's rift, wide spread cannons and torpedo spread.

Hm I was in PvP yesterday and wondered why I could see cloaked ships from 8+ km. I did have MES on at the time, but I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with what you said about MES' stealthsight modifier.
