My next ship is going to have the (name) -C, or (name) C. I don't feel like digging out my old Star Trek movie DVD's to find out.

It would actually be -B after your registry number, NOT your name.

Actually the letter is supposed to go on the end of the registry, the name feild even has a box for it, problem is you can't have two ships with the same name in your selection and the registry isn't taken into acount when the game looks at the ships names. so it throws up an error.

The first successor would have the A designation. To use the Enterprise as an example:

1) NCC 1701
2) NCC 1701-A
3) NCC 1701-B
etc..

-C (or A, B, whatever)

However, it's actually the ships registry number that should have the alphabetical - the 'A' designated Enterprise was actually NCC-1701-A, USS Enterprise
