So even the turrets cannot be equipped on anything but escort on the fed side. No turrets for my science ship... Decisions...

in order to get full effect from the antiprotons you have to screw your last tier point distribution. I would rather save up and get the epic shield (holy **** that thing is sexy)

That I would do, anyway not playing my fed much. Now which shield, there are like 12... And I did put 5 points in antiproton.. since I never bother to distribute last few points.

I would probably go with the standard one, since the cap on that one is pretty high. the covariant is pretty large though.

Uhh not sure what's going on here exactly but turrets are cannons, and can only be equipped by escorts at any fed tier, has nothing to do with these specific items. Right?

Not turrets could be equipped by any ship... My science ships has 3 of them in the aft.

New epics seem to be a big mistake this early in the game - I mean they basically negate all previous weapon specs if you havent spent your points yet at General.

And I thought I read somewhere the Tricobalt devices wouldn't be affected by HYT... maybe I was just imagining things.

it takes 53 points to get a shield/engine/deflector dish, 4 to get a ground weapon, 7 to get a space weapon (and i forgot the other numbers). you get 5 per day, so its a good way to get people to stay. it would take 32 days of getting all the dailies and not missing one to fill up on all three of the "big grapes"

in addition, in order to get anti-proton's to their highest potential you must use all of your skill points on them, and screw your other skills.

Fairly certain they're always high yield persay, they are always a large and targitable torpedo like HYT plasmas

its not, at least not for me, but it has a massive crit range/.

dont forget the tricobalt torp got 1 min cooldown after use.....
