I just got promoted to Admiral, and I decided on the Advanced Escort. I know, I know, less Engineering stuff, but this problem wouldn't be fixed by switching to a Fleet Escort.
Each of these Escorts both has a Lieutenant Rank Engineering BOff slot. My Lt. BOff has Emergency to Shields I and Engineering Team II.
I need Reverse Shield Polarity, because it is suggested as a very good skill. Do I...
Scrap Engineering Team for Reverse I,
or
Train Reverse I and replace Emergency Power with Engineering Team I?
Since it's just a Lieutenant, I would probably create a new one and use him to experiment a bit. If I absolutely had to choose between Shields and Engineering Team I would choose the Shields.
That's tough, considering my Engineering Team can heal a good 25% of hull damage. You're right, I should just experiment. Considering I have a few Engineering Officers lying around, I can make a few to test.
