We are aware there is a queue to log in at this time.
We're aware of a Skill Points issue some Romulans may be experiencing, as well as players not being able to delete mail, and are working towards a resolution.
Jolan tru Captain!

Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
This is not a post to cry about lack of content, bugs or anything else.
I am almost a Captain so it's pretty much too late to care but I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something in relation to quests and general leveling.
I have the same handful of PvP quests that I have had pretty much since I created my Klingon. Some are daily, the rest are repeatable. There were a small number of story-type quests that I had early on and completed them. And finally I have my repeatable go to X system and kill 12 groups of ships. Close to the end of a rank, I get a new one. At hitting Commander 10 I got one that is for the Cardassians rather than the Romulans I have been fighting in the Azure Nebula or whatever it's called.
Upon completing my PvE quests, I am able to repeat them but I can't do them until I wait a full 6 minutes. Also, while I am in the system where those quests are I cannot join a PvP game when my queues come up. I just get the notification that I missed it.
You should write up a bug report about the queues and what you're doing when you miss them. It does seem like zoning causes the popup to never appear but maybe other things break it too.
But yeah, you're really intended to level your Klingon through PvP. The PvE you've seen is all there is at least until level 43 which is I think when you can do the raids (same raids the Feds get).
As to the empire defence missions, what really annoys me is that they actually get bigger, to make them *even less attractive* when you level up. The Cardassian one moves to being 14 ships per chunk, meaning you have to destroy 42 ships to get a measly 200 bonus xp for doing so.
With the reset in between being about 6 minutes, this means that you would get the same xp from doing a mere 2 pvp matches which can take 1/5 of the time.
The only worthwhile mission is the very first one, which you should do as soon as you get it. Never ever do the repeatable one.
I'm not so sure about the leveling via PvP thing. That can't be their intention. There's a decent handful of people now who are leveling up but rarely is it enough for continual games. In 6 months there will be 1/10th the number of people leveling. I'm sitting in a queue right now.
It's not about the leveling speed for me, it's about all of the waiting for queues and missions to reset.
I heard the modeled STO queues after the Dept of Motor Vehicles.
funniest thing Ive read on this forum all day. And let me tell you, their has been some serious comic relief action concerning this game in recent threads.

plus whatever you get from the ship kills, wich depending on the ships you kill can be quite a substancial ammount....
Leveling a Klingon is pretty much Empire Defense cycled with PvP, yeah..
Azure Nebula and up is actually quite nice, both in terms of XP and money.. you get about 15 skill points per squadron, 20 or so for the cruisers, and about 100k worth of junk per run..
I leveled my first char up to BG 5 this way.. I got the last 10 grades or so in one day (well... i did play a lot that day...) and ended up with about 3.5 million credits :p
