So at GDC10 it was announced that a new playable faction was going to be put in within the year, possibly even as soon as July (Update 2 is July, Update 3 in November). Will the Klingon faction be fully finished by then? Is that enough time for all the major issues and unfinished work to be completed? I know I will be really disappointed if this new faction has far more features and many of the things we've been begging for, before we get them.

They'll just add another species without finishing the Klings and say "wow, look now we have TWO PvP races! If you want PvE go back to the Federation."

To a certain extent, I'd be happy if they just fixed the constant disconnects that occurs on QoNos (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

did they say what race it was? it might just be the tellarites and caitians people are so in love with being added to the fed race roster

They didn't say, they said it would be up to the players but that they seemed to like the idea of it being Romulan or Borg.

There's another interview on that site with Craig and Bill Roper, but it really doesn't offer anything news worthy . It was actually kind of embarrassing because they kinda come off as jerks in it and it didn't represent the company very well. It could have been off the record and the interviewer decided to post it, I don't know. It was really a weird interview.

cool, thx. to bad it was so short and very vague. Though i would say the rommies will be the next faction, as if they do borg, they better get it done right the first time. the borg player wannabe's seem the types to be crazy if something don't work right

I hope its the Cardassian/Dominion. I know it wont be, but one cane have dreams, right?

Borg is impossible without completely ruining their background. There are no individuals, no captains aboard Borg ships, no social hubs, drones don't even speak to eachother. And their ships would have to be balanced against Federation/Klingon ships and thus be severely underpowered compared to canon.
They are much better suited for a PVE endgame faction imo.

First playable faction should be Romulans, as they are part of the original big 3 powerful factions from the original series. Then the Cardassians, possibly as part of the Dominion.

and i hope to god it stays that way with this guy.


he managed to screw up Hellgate London, i'd hate to see him having any form of power over this game.

so hopefully he's just pushing papers...
