Okay your doing some missions the the pvp klingns appear. And either you start to get them almost distroyed and they out run you . Or your like +10 above them with good equpied ship and still cant blow them up. Three times today two of us couldnt blow up one lousy klingon who we both outranked

They are not overpowered, they just know how to play pvp as it is all that they can do. They know which skills are powerful offensive and which counter. You need to spend more time watching their tactics, and use team work to defeat them.

The klingon community has already been nerfed enough (and suffered greatly in number bcos of this) and yet people still moan that they are too powerful... With my fed character I played my first pvp game as RA5 and got my *** kicked... I had spent my entire time in game playing pve and levelling up, so I didn't really know what I was doing.

So I made a Klingon character, and have been playing through the ranks of pvp learning and being taught all the way up to Commander. Now in pvp with my fed I am usually top of the damage charts with a healthy kill to death ratio as I understand the mechanics of that style of play better (but still not well in comparison with many in the community...)

Sounds like your talking about fighting a bop in borg hunt. You can chase after them; all you have to do is switch your power settings to full power to engines and hit evasive maneuvers. You can try vming them if your in a sci ship or try target subsystem shields or engines.

The bird of prey is pretty much a hit and run ship. I think the bop pilot was just messing with you for fun. Out ranking someone doesn't mean you will automatically win. BO setup, equipment setup and skill come into play.

Seriously? Did you seriously just post this.... this has to be a joke, another attempt to have Klingons nerfed for no apparent reason.
1. How about you read through some of the forums where you will learn how people combine skills i.e Evasive Manuevers+emerency power to engines+engine batteries.
2. What are you doing in an area where your opponents are -10 to you?
3. If you cannot kill someone -10 levels below you and it is two of you. You may want to evaluate what you are doing wrong. If neither of you have tractor beam theres one problem right there.

Before starting in with the Klingon's are OP talk, how about you make some adjustments on your end.

I got a fed and a klink character. The klink is way easier in PvP. Almost like I don't have to try. On my fed, i'm always getting killed by cloaked ships. I'll be at 33% hull strength before I can even target them. Maybe if feds had better shields.

Just some random thoughts. Not a coherent argument. Not taking side.

LOL, you ALREADY have better shields with the Federation, not to mention stronger hulls!

Fed Science Ships, which the Klingons don't have, have this trait. Not to mention access to some VERY nice PvE shield quest rewards, which Klingons have nothing comparable to.

In short, if you're going to LIE, please, be more convincing.

If you're getting killed before you can even target someone:
1) Your reactions are too slow. PvP is fast, especially if you fly Escorts. You hit hard, but can die very quickly.
2) Not recognizing (quickly) what defensive skills to use to keep yourself from being blasted by an alpha strike.
3) You're not used to PvP. The Klingon players are not those lame ships you farm at Starbase 24. PvP is a whole lot more dynamic fight than PvE.

klingons *are* OP in T1. they start at level 6 with gear that most feds won't see until 10 or 11 (i.e. just a few battles away from T2). if you are comparing the sides on the basis of T1 experience, then of course it's easy to conclude that klingons are OP. but once you hit level 14 or so, it gets more even. in T3 and T4 it's *very* even.

I'm not sure what is going on in ground PVP but I'm not sure it's the Klingons thenselves doing it. After playing last night we noticed that several times fuse armor would never go away and one Klingon used weapons malfunction which lasted forever (including through respawns and then travelling from SOL to B-tran and the first ground mission weapons malfunction was STILL in place for my lan-mate!!!). I'd love to think it wasn't intentional and it was just 'bugs' in the game but.. after seeing another Klingon simply walk down the hall taking constant fire from 5 feds (also 3, yes 3 security teams!!!) and getting hit with everything from disruptors, tachyon to grenades, mines, phasers and he calmly walked up to us and one shotted all of us indivudually with single shots without us being 'proc'd' it does seem a bit... odd. That being said, in all the ground PVP I've been in, there have only been a couple of these 'super' soldiers and usually their own team calls them out like they did for this person. The space matches are fun, even and can always go either way.
