When I select Engineering Team from the drop down box on my skill screen, Starship Engine Maintenance is outlined. Is this a bug or something? Will it actually improve the healing effectiveness of Engineering Team on my ship's hull?

I just want to make sure this isn't a bug and I end up wasting a bunch of skill points. I appreciate your help.

I do not think it is a bug. You can double check by pressing P when you are in space to pull up your abilities list then click on Engineering Team. Towards the bottom of the description it will give you a list of skills that affect it.

Yes, it does affect engineering team. I don't know if it increases effectiveness or decreases cooldown, though. probably affects cooldown

ET gives a boost to warp theory or some skill like that plus overall power levels so I would say that would fall to engines.

I appreciate everybody's help. So we don't know if it specifically improves the hull healing aspect of Engineering Team or not?
