# 1 Aceton Field Healing Bug?
11-03-2010, 09:59 AM
So Aceton field is supposed to reduce the targets energy weapon damage by 50%, I was wondering if anyone else notice that you stack multiple copies of it on a single target, the energy weapons actually heal the target instead of damage it.

I noticed this on my KDF character when I got hit by 3 aceton fields by those Fel'kri (or however it's spelt) frigates. Instead of still doing reduced damage, my beams were healing them for about 200 to 400 a pop. I think I managed to heal one from 20% hull back up to nearly 100%

Is this a bug or a feature of stacking Aceton Field on a target?

I have also noticed this. I believe it's a bug. Look like a math error somewhere in the code.

I have Aceton Field 3 on a BO.

Only one copy, only one on the team with it. After I use it I sometimes notice the enemy ships heal back awfully fast. Is it possible that it doesn't have to be stacked to do this?

Geez. I'm going to have to test this, aren't I?

I do not believe this is true.

Testing it would require cooperation from the opposing ship, to ensure that there was no other healing going on.

Well when I looked at my combat log it was saying I was doing negative damage to the frigates and I was seeing green numbers for healing instead of yellow damage numbers on them. I was doing nothing but shooting them and there was no healing going on.

If you can round up 4 ppl you can easily test this in a private match. Have one poor sucker be target practice while you try different stacks of aceton field

Just tested this with my fleet mates. It was in fact healing when 3 Aceton Fields were placed on one target. It would appear the debuff is Additive and thus each additional hit after the first 2 continues the debuff into the negatives.
