# 1 Looking for a Star Fleet
12-03-2010, 08:39 PM

I hate making these sort of posts, as it always feels like I'm applying for a job rather than a group of people to play a game with, but anyway....

I'm a fairly new player and I'm still finding my feet in the game, as well as trying to make my mind up if I should stick around. And with that in mind I feel I will require a Fleet in order to experience everything this game has to offer, as well as make some friends along the way.

So a bit about me (short version):

I'm male (don't let the names fool you), I'm 27, I have a full time job and I live in the UK.

I currently have a Lt Cmd 4 Tactical Officer and an Escort ship.

And what I'm looking for is a PVE orientated Fleet with any kind of voice communication, website and forums, plays mostly in EU time zones, has some experienced members for advice and most importantly a good sense of humor.

I should also note that I'm not keen on RP'ing, but I don't mind people who do so long as I'm not expected to participate.

If anyone is interested in guiding this newbie through this cold dark space, please contact me in game via Kara@Asteria or leave a reply here.

Thank you.

I'm probably going to sound like everyone who will no doubt follow below, but I think {UFP} would be a good fit for you.
We have a lot EU timezone people in our fleet, myself included (Hampshire here). We're active on TeamSpeak 3, even if we're not in-game, we can often be found in the members lounge chatting, and the atmosphere is a good one. We actively encourage everyone to come on TS, whether they have a mic or not as we firmly believe it enhances the experience a great deal to do so.

While we do participate in all manner of STO things, PvE is likely the favourite group activity in the fleet, but as I say we try to run a variety of events as we recruit people with varying tastes.

Our website is under construction, however our forums are well organised and very active, it's been the hub of our community since 2002. So you'll have a good mix of new members, and veteran fleet members, I myself have been with the fleet almost since its founding.

If this sounds of interest you can visit us at, and I'm of course available for any questions should you have any.

Howdy! From your post you would find a good home with us. We are a small (on purpose) active fleet with all the trimmings. Forums, pod casting, videos, experienced players, active almost all day (epically during odd hours) and voice servers. If you would like to become part or just give us a test drive, drop a PM or check out the links below my signature. Plus, we have cookies!!!

My turn. Hello and welcome to STO. I hope you are enjoying the game so far. While I am located in the US we do have a fairly large UK group. I will admit our numbers vary in game at any given time but we have people online to run Fleet Actions, and Missions/Episodes with. But take some time, look around there is a fleet out there that is perfect for everyone.

So with out further ado the offical recruitment pitch.

Good afternoon. I hope you will take a moment and consider the Vulcan Kolinahr Fleet. We are a small but great and growing fleet. We are easy going, dedicated and friendly. We all come from different backgrounds and have different ways of doing things, but thatís part of what makes us great.

Anyone in our fleet is happy to help others when needed, in almost any aspect of the game and in some case RL. We have a fleet TeamSpeak3 server that we use for voice chat not just in-game but also to hang out as well and get to know each other better (not required, just available). Many of us are located on the East Coast (USA) and England but we do have members scattered across the globe.

Although I say our fleet is dedicated, we also realize that everyone has lives as well, so therefore when you need to take the time, you don't need to be concerned about losing your position within the fleet due to RLtoo. We do not discriminate against such things because we understand that sometimes real life issues and problems can take time to resolve, and that some time is needed to sort things out.

So please, think about joining and moving with us into 2409 armed with the best Intel, the most specific and targeted body of knowledge about STO, and a group of Fleet-mates who will be there with you in the crunch.

The Vulcan Kolinahr Fleet

Live Long and Prosper!
