As a klingon desperatley awaiting the live launch of foundry to have a more interesting leveling experience i am afraid that the foundry might not offer a viable leveling path if the xp is limited.

i know there is a valid argument that players would create maps with nothing but mobs to farm to level up, but the empire defense areas are basically just that.

I think the missions designed for quick xp would be the most unpopular as Klingon players are dying for stories!

Also having spent the day playing many of the fine missions you have worked so hard on I must say this tool is going to elevate STO immensley in the MMO market. All i ask is you please please please make Klingon missions as well!

If you've spent the whole day playing then you should have seen that the missions themselves don't grant any XP other than the points you get for each kill and that's only a few points each.

There was an NPC lady who you contacted that gave a UGC daily so that when you completed 3 user created missions you got 100XP or something low like that, kind of like a regular daily. I think that will be the main source of XP.

Ah that explains it then, hopefully then it might be re-evaluated to allow players to earn more xp, especially Klingon side where there are substantial gaps between PVE content in the leveling process.

I spent about an hour on one missions today and only filled two bars by the end...that was fairly brutal considering how much patience I had to have to go through an extremely tedious series of run here run there fight endless waves of federation engineers and medics.

Per previous Dev comments, Foundry missions are supposed to award a certain amount of xp for how long it takes to complete the mission(on average, not per player, which prevents someone from just wasting time and getting xp for it). However, when that will be applied to the system is unknown at this point.

Not to knock Cryptic but I find the Foundry missions more Trek like because every one is a great unknown. For the last month I have been playing on Tribble (review only) and been wishing that it was Holodeck and that I could level up on Foundry missions even at half or a third the xp.

I think there many Foundry missions that are better then Cryptics. There are people how live breath eat Star Trek. So Yes fans like that will make better stuff. Been re watching my of the old shows for idea and got small warehouse of notes for missions. Waiting for Foundry to go live which may be while. Some even have trailers for them. Seems a shame all the good stuff will get wiped.
