I dont mind the background music but whos the sicko that made the terrible opera singing that sometimes creeps into the background. Reminds me of being in a circus freakshow

The exciting music that usually starts upon entering a battle is spoiled by the "Yah!" hip hop style tuneless shouting within it.

Not necessary and spoils a pretty good music background.

If you mean the long, "AAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!", I always thought that sounded like dying Klingons. Which I thought appropriate when timed right when I destroyed a Klingon ship.

No it's more like someone yelling Yah! during the fight music, like some overexcited idiot caught by accident on tape while recording. It's also a type of "sampling" used in hip hop music. The artist believes this changes the music enough to call his own while adding what he thinks is flair.

You mean the "Ahhhh ahhhhahhhh AHHHHHH!"? For some reason it makes me laugh.

Oddly enough, hearing that guy hit those notes when I first started playing....seeing my starter ship soar through space while he pushes those vocal cords.... is one of my fonder memories of STO.
