well, we need more information to determine the best deflector.

what are your science bridge officer skills?
what class (tactical, engineer, science) is your character?
what ship do you use?
do you pvp or just pve?

put up that information and we'll have a pretty good idea of what deflector you'll need

sorry. it stands for player vs environment. its basically when you or a group are not facing human opponents.

What rank are you? there are certain high-ranking deflectors you might/probably will not be able to use yet

Without being at my machine with the game on, i believe the positron one has +emitters as standard which will help poth hazards and polarize hull.

If you can get one with a +Hazard system bonus you're in business...

In general though, Aegis is the favourite new toy, the benefits of having the set somewhat outweight the miniscule benefit you get to your very low rank sci skills. In some respects, it almost barely matters for non-sci ships.

Umm unfortunatly at the start of playing this game i had no idea what the items ur find in space were used for so i got rid of them and now i know what they are for i'm atm trying to save up for the aegis tech.
