Greetings from the U.S.S Wisconsin!

I'm pretty new to the game and am a life-long Star Trek fan.

I'm just looking for some chat to break the silence and some help when needed.
I'm a huge DS9/TNG fan and ENT is pretty good (except for the horrible finale)

I'm just about to Lt. Commander so I know little about fleet excursions but willing to learn.

I'm not too picky just prefer 30+ mature group with a sense of humor and don't mind the occasional question. Also, prefer U.S. just for convenience.

I try to play a few hours a night when I can with a busy job and family.

I look forward to hearing from you!

The 528th Fleet began with the intention of only inviting a few of my real life friends to join. It was founded on March 17th, 2010. The Fleet started growing by virtue of people asking to join after teaming up with me. By April of that same year, our active members went from 5 to 50! This being the 3rd MMO I personally have played, I knew enough about various other "clans" or "guilds" to know that the only kind of lasting gaming community is one built through, with and by people! Many Fleets have come and gone, but we stand and fall as ONE! That is our motto!

If you're interested in joining our community, you should know something! We are awesome! We are primarily a social community. Playing the game with people is only half the fun, listening in on Ventrilo to all the jokes, and various "insider" gags we have is what makes the experience "special".

Our community prides itself on being open to anyone of any skill level, so long as they have a positive attitude! Negativity and drama are not tolerated, as we are too awesome to worry about the 10% that is BAD when 90% of our lives are filled with amazing and incredible opportunities for FUN!

Some people are uncomfortable with the idea of making online friends. A friend is a stranger you just haven't gotten to know yet! The opportunities are endless... The majority of our player base are life-timer's to STO and some people have even met face-to-face! Also, the reason we have switched to being termed a community is because we play many, many other games besides STO! Star Trek Armada 2, Fleet Operations, Supreme Commander, World of Tanks, Rift, The Old Republic ( Coming soon ), Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2 etc... etc... The list is a very LONG one!

So, here are a few guidelines to consider when applying!

Check it out!:

1) We accept only mature positive individuals past the probationary period. You must be available for an interview to receive an invite to probation. We prefer you be above the age of 21, however, maturity isn't always linked to age, so if you can prove otherwise, we will consider it.

2) You need to use Ventrilo. It is a voice-communication application that is free to use. It allows us to socialize, to play the game as a group more easily, and for raiding. You WILL be required to log on to Ventrilo for your interview. You don't need to have a microphone, but i guarantee that before long you will be running to the store to grab one and join in on the banter

3) No Drama. It is simply not tolerated. Be respectful of one another and have fun! The game is about enjoying whatever you get out of it with others, not despite them! We have strict rules concerning this.

4) Interviews are done through Ventrilo by an Officer of Admiral rank or above.

5) You must apply on the website before being considered unless you have been invited personally or sponsored by a member.

Please use your IN-GAME names when applying it will make it much easier to contact you.

We do not require you participate in-fleet events, but we do require you be social in some way. That's what we are all about, playing the game we all love, TOGETHER.

Thank you for interest,

We are either 30 something or 40 something so you may define us as mature. Alibis our players are in the USA or Canada.

We have starter this fleet to create a relaxed fleet that we could all be a part of the direction and building. We are a smal fleet but hope to be mid sized.

Very few rules and everyone have a say in the direction of the fleet. We do have one wish that all members have the TOS uniform for Fleet actions and possible a 23rd century Ship and you are familiar with our Fleet backstory. We understand that all members may not be into the roll playing but just humour us and build your character bio to correspond.

We are under the philosophy that everyone had their own gifts and abilities to bring to the fleet so if you wish to be active in forming the fleet in any way please let us know. Also know that you are more than welcome to just be a part of the fleet.

Sign up on the fleet website, look around and if you wish to be a part of the fleet, please fill out the application form.

Hi Lt. Gregory F Kelly,

Choosing a fleet is an important decision and can vastly impact the way you play, so choosing carefully is always a wise decision.

When I was looking for a Fleet which was only 6 months ago now, I wanted a fleet whose members were mature, active, busy, helpful and above all, fun to game with. Well I lucked in and found The {UFP}. The fleet has been around for 9 years now and supports a number of Star Trek games besides STO so it's not likely to disappear over night.

The fleet is an international fleet with a strong US/Canada base as well as members from the UK, East Asia and beyond. We have a team of Event Officers who run a variety of events all week in order for people to get to know each other, have an excuse to group and generally have fun. Sure we do the usual leveling events and STF's but we also do so much more besides. We run a weekly foundry night where we run the best foundry missions together, we are currently putting together a dueling league, we have weekly inter fleet pvp and sometimes co op with other fleets (like this Friday with the 3rd Fleet. )

Above all, we pride ourselves on being helpful and supportive. This is of course our play time and we strive hard to ensure that it is kept fun and enjoyable. We try, where possible to find ways to support our members in any way we encourage use of forums and TS and to provide feedback. We also encourage our members to get involved in running with the fleet in any way they want or can.

What we ask for in return is that you abide by our code of conduct and that sign a monthly roll call (which takes all of 30 seconds).

Feel free to stop by our website and take a look. We've not long revamped it and we're rather proud of how good it looks!

I just wanted to take the time to let you know about Shadow Dragon Fleet. We offer 110% percent support to our members; We have a fully functioning website ( and a ventrilo server and we are an in game fleet with active members and a fleet bank and our own fleet channel in game. We buy are players any equipment they need and we have crafters that can craft anything, we offer training to all of our members (our academy is run by experienced gamers who have MMO experience and have real life tactical experience and also role play experience) We are casual, knowledgeable, dedicated, very friendly, willing to lend a hand and assist the player in any way possible and we have skilled players that participate in pve and pvp. Shadow Dragon Fleet is also allied with other powerful fleets. opportunities are given to those who work hard. We also have higher positions available so there is plenty of room for advancement, and we cover all aspects of the game.

If you have any questions about the fleet feel free to send me a message here, or you can contact me through our site.

You might be interested in The Mercenary Order. We are a small expanding casual fleet who are not bothered about a players activity levels. Our primary focus is enjoying the game and socialising which frankly could mean doing anything (fleet actions, STFs, PVP, just whatever we'll enjoy). We're a supportive group but I find most people in the game are to be honest. The main stumbling block is your 30+ rule as we don't really have an age rule. We choose are our members based on a mature attitude (I'll grant you age is usually a fairly good gauge for that). I'm 24 and some other members are also in their 20's, but we also have members 30+.

Hope to hear from you,

If you're interested in joining a large, organized fleet then check out the 12th! We have a lot to offer from role play to weekly events! PVP, STF's, and Joint Fleet Actions are only some of the things we do in our fleet.

Check out our forums, especially the Recruitment section. Our requirements aren't difficult and we only wish to ensure that every person who joins the 12th is in a fun, cooperative setting. We may be one of the largest fleets in the game, but we are always looking for new members.

Check out our official thread on the STO Forums:
