# 1 Klingon Flagship?
06-23-2011, 11:46 PM
In your opinion, what class of ship would be an ideal KDF Flagship vessel? Lets say hypothetically there were a similar contest to the DTNE contest except for the KDF faction, which class of ship would be ideal?

Unofficial!, hypothetical. This post in no way means this will actually happen - EVER. I'm in no position to do such things... I am, however - as a fan - in a position to ask this community this question

Something like a negh'var or even a new class of carrier....Something big. to show off the true might of the empire. (or maybe how much they overcompensate xD)

overcompensate?

HONORLESS DOG!

Anyway, I believe a modified version of the Vo'quv carrier would be perfect.

Meet me on the fields of battle in whatever ship you fly and ill show you what a late 23rd century starship will do to you....*makes a challenge of it*

Sounds like fun, actually

@rest: And I didn't mean a carrier as carrier... but in the missions Fed side, the 'vo'quv carrier' is often considered, like the Galaxy X, a dreadnaught and was the flagship of a fleet.
Something of similar size, at least, its mentioned in-game around Qo'nos that they think the Vo'quv is pretty awesome.

Ever played Starfleet Academy?

The Ber'taa from that game, in a modern, more sleek version would make a great addition to the KDF fleet, and in a larger, better armed version it would also be a challenging opponent.

Of cause I do not live in the US (or the american continent for that matter), so such a competition would never affect me in any way since I am pr. default excluded from taking part in thoose.

(Quick note: the above link is from a Mod for BC... couldn find original pics)

considdering this was the last flagship on screen Nagh'Var with BFG's (Big effing Guns):
http://images.wikia.com/memoryalpha/...Var_attack.jpg

for me it has to be a Cruiser, no BoP, no Carrier

google pic search only showed me this one, that i allways liked:
http://files1.guildlaunch.net/guild/...leship9111.jpg

but after Stargate Universe that design looks way to much like a rip off to actually do it.

i found some Birds of Prey that i liked on that Bridge Commander modding site,
they look more agressive then anything STO has to offer (Logan take notes!)

http://bridgecommander.filefront.com...s/File/25572/3

but no Flagship material.

here is the one and ONLY ship from that BC site that i would accept as "NEW Flagship"
http://bridgecommander.filefront.com.../File/108415/3
well at least as a concept that can be improved upon

What about a mobile star base?
http://starfleetcommand3.filefront.c...arbase%3B45675
The Klings are defiantly one to think up something like this, especially if you using it as an npc.
IF it had a nacelles that retract during combat it could be viable
