Kicking this around for my Orion alt, Tac Officer. Looking at the stats and basing this off of zero experience with Klingon endgame ships... does this handle like the Excelsior-class cruiser on the Fed side? The numbers are similar, so figured I'd ask.

it has similarities to the excelsior and can dish out the damage but basically more science based than engineering (and it can launch pets). it can be tricky to get right, and it will feel squishier compared to an excelsior but it also can be a lot of fun.

the thing is if you are playing a tac, then you may be even squishier and you might want to load up some healing in your science slots. if you are doing pve it will be fine but you may find yourself exploding a fair bit in pvp.

I really don't see myself doing a lot of PvP with it. Mostly PvE. Might get daring and try some STFs with it when they allow Starfleet/KDF JTFs.

Pve is fine and it's good fun.

Let me put the Kar'Fi into perspective for you: It has fire coming out of the impulse exhausts. Need I say more? *grin*

Seriously, however - with the right equipment, it's a good ship to fly. Just be sure to put skill points into carrier captain (I think it covers both this ship and the Vo'Quv, as I recall), get an RCS console as her turn rate's a tad sluggish, and be sure to have actually useful BOff skills on it, heh.

Funny enough I am also a tac Orion with a Kar'Fi.

Does anyone have suggestions on a good build to use?(for a Tac that is)
