Slow patching in the launcher
A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
It would be faster to get into game if new players would have warp ability in sector space,
now i am going to places with very slow speed.
Those missions are awesome, but because of limited playing time, i can only finish 1 mission per day, i
would love to finish 2 missions per day by moving fast to different locations.
I was cruising to fight borgs yesterday from Sol sector and it took me ages to get there.
In sector space you are traveling at warp. Each rank has access to a slightly faster warp speed. The game atleast allows you to simulate the time it takes to get somewhere. What level is your toon? Because borg are not until you reach RA3 and at that point your pretty close to warp 9.7 or so.
Well, when you become Vice Admiral you'll have access to Quantum Slipstream Drive - it enables you to travel a lot faster through sector space for 30 seconds (2.5 minutes cooldown). Via diplomacy you can earn Transwarp connections to major space stations (K7, SB39, DS9) that help getting across the Galaxy.

Just make sure you're uping your warp throttle to max. Honestly there shouldn't be that great a difference in sector space travel time (Until you hit VA1 and get the Slipstream power.)
Yes I know, traveling in sector space does not feel like warp speed. Just hover your mouse over your throttle bar. It will tell you a warp factor instead of an impulse speed value like when you are inside of a system. The sector space is meant to be a compact view of several star systems. So when it takes you only a few minutes to travel between star systems, you would indeed need to fly with a few times of lightspeed.
It does not feel like it though, I know.
Ok i am level on 10 now and if game is designed to be so slow even though i am on warp speed.
I was just confused about moving to different sector on sector border, it says entering warp or something.
Its a bit confusing at times, but i just love those missions where you need to fight in space or ground combats, so time to get into those stuff is bit slow for me
Thanks for all your help, i just love STO these days.
Does anyone have good tip for using weapons/shields on light cruiser with level 10 difficulty for beginner, because i am getting killed all the time

Many things you can do. 1st there is a power bar with your ships current power levels. By default all set to level 50. You can adjust those numbers into offense and get 100 power to weapons and 50 to shields. This will yield faster killls. There is a speed setting and a defense setting. At the low levels the Aux power is not needed and should be kept at 25. Your best bet is to join a fleet and learn some very usefull information. I leveled a toon solo and joined a fleet when I made my second toon and now I can rank a toon to VA in a few weeks just because I know the game play so easily.

errm you really should not be getting killed at level 10 on normal. are you sure its set to normal difficulty? are you sure you have equipped some shields? you can redistribute them using the HUD at the bottom of the screen, if one shield is getting low, divert the power to it by clicking on the arrow next to the shield quadrant. remember to use bo abilities like science team to regenerate your shields.
make sure your power is set to max on your weapons, again from the HUD down below so that you do more damage and destroy enemy ships faster.
you can always use the exchange to try and buy some better weapons. you are almost about tyo hit the next rank (in one level) so dont buy anything yet. wait until you get your next ship (escort, science or cruiser) and then try and buy some mark IV equipment.

Over time, you earn Bridge Officers as a reward. They can be assigned to positions on your ship and give you access to clickable powers. These are very important and get only more important over time. You can train your Bridge Officers in Earth Space Dock. As early levels, you will not have many bridge officer skill points to train them, so use them wisely.
If you have trouble in space, a few basic guidelines:
1) Running 100 weapon power and 50 shield power is usually a good choice.
2) From the Engineering Bridge Officer powers, Emergency Power to Shields is a very powerful shield buff. It gives you damage resistance, which means you take less damage. Coupled with 100 weapon power, this means you can usually kill your enemies before they can deal any significant damage back to you. At Levels 1-20, most ships can only have one Emergency Power to Shields. That means that you will be protected for about 30 seconds, and unprotected for 30 seconds (assuming you managed to max the skill). At Levels 11+ with a Cruiser or Level 21+ with any other ship, you can have Emergency Power twice. This will give you round-the-time protection. While you don't have two, just remember to have he skill ready before you enter the next combat.
3) From the Science Bridge Officer powers, Hazard Emitters is an excellent hull heal.
