Ooh, I hope I can make it. Thank you guys for continuing to hold these!

Just in case I can't make it, though:

I have been, for a long time, absolutely in love with the Akira. However, when STO goes live, I'm anticipating spending most of my time chasing after exploration and otherwise non-torpedo-centric content. Will I be able to configure an Akira to such a degree that I'll be able to chase after the content of my choice without feeling penalized for choosing a chassis that I've always loved the look of, or will I find that vessels of the same tier that are canonically dedicated to scientific pursuits will be able to edge the Akira out when it comes to performing in that area?

Hello,

Will ships have the abilty to beam marines aboard an enemy ship when one of thier shield arcs has been breached?

Also, if yes, will there be a set amount of marines that a ship class can have onboard, or will there be a variant of that class that will offer the ability to hold more?

Here is a question.

In the Star Trek series' and films, There were very set classes of ships, i.e. Constitution Class / Galaxy Class, and while indervidual ships may have had differences they still looked very similar.
How are you striking a balance between allowing players to customise their ships, while maintaining the particular style or look of a Class? What about limitations to ensure that ships still maintain the style of Starfleet?
Personally I shudder at the thought of a Defiant with metallic blue perl, lowered engines, big bore exhaust and underside neons.

Is there a weight limit or some other form of limitation on equipment for a ship class, because I remember the good ol days of SFC3 where every ship you ran into had quantum torpedos even if it made no sense like on a norway which is a low yield destroyer blast boat and interdiction craft? Also having been probably about 4 decades since their initial emergence have quantum torpedos completely supplanted photons as the standard heavy weaponry of starfleet?

as far a ship equipment. what types of equipment will we be able to outfit our ships with and how much will the equipment effect the power of a ship. it has been mentioned in dev chat before that bridge crew with be the Epic Loot of the game but how much of a factor will rare ship equipment play? will somone with some uber pasor coil have a decisive advantage over somone whom has a more basic version or will it all be small percentages here and there?

I would also like to know this. I hope there is a boarding ability in this game. I am unsure of how this would work. How would you control your ship while being boarded by an enemy attacker? At what point do you protect your ship hand to hand while being boarded? Does your securtiy deal with the intruders automatically and once they become overpowered may you can join in?

Can you loose command of your ship temporarily and if so what kind of penalties will you recieve for being captured? Can some one loot your ship for goods/ credits/ crew members / supplies?

I would like this ability in the game. It would force you to use more hand to hand especially in a PvP situation. There would be more benifit to capturing the ship and letting it go rather than simply destroying it.
This would add a great amount of depth to PvP.

I have one main question and then 2 smaller questions:

How will enhancing my ship work? Like will it be like enhancements for the game City of Heroes, because I don't want to have to spend outrageous amounts of credits or gold pressed latinum or watever to get only a couple of new devices or parts that the hardcore people get like on CoH.

1)Will I be able to choose my ship's name and possibly registry number or are either or both already officially set?
2) Can I choose how my ship's transporter beaming effects will look to some degree? (Things like color, or "sparkles", etc.)
