Cryptic was making profit, running free and clear of debt before the PW acquisition.
There was no need for PW to start attempting money-grabs like taking away the VA/LG ships, or adding a Dilithium road to the C-Store to nearly everything.. It was completely unnecessary. They could recoup their investment easily just by letting the game go on as it had before.
It was a choice, a premeditated, willful decision made for the sake of greed, not necessity. A choice that has resulted in how many people leaving? I've counted 8 "I quit" threads in the last two days. And that's just the ones I've seen who have bothered to make a thread! The ones who leave without making a post are likely not insignificant in number.
And then think of the people who have begun boycotting the C-Store..
The path PW has taken, that Maina thinks is just hunky-dory, is leading to an exodus.
I don't know what the problem is here. I was delighted to see the Gekli in the C-Store and I actually thought it was a tad on the cheap side for my taste as I wanted it to be a super premium pet I could fly around and show off in the game. I love that Gekli and this is the kind of stuff fans want in the game.
