# 1 Need BoP expert

So i've had my Klingon Lt. General for over a year now but i've always flown my GURAMBA SEIGE DESTROYER. I have both the Hegh'ta and B'rel on Stand by but right now there just toys to me. Something to fly around when i get bored of transforming and using my Death Star gun.

Other than enhanced battle cloak and slight hull HP whats the main difference between the 2 and which is better over all?

Can you help me set up a good BoP build?

The B'rel has a slightly higher turn rate, too. And a console less I think... its been a while since I used it.

If you ask me, I'd rate the Hegh'ta over the B'rel any times.

I've flown both BoPs, and both have their uses.

Hegh'ta
- More hull
- Better looking

B'rel
- Slightly better turn rate
- Can heal yourself while cloaked
- Can fire torps and some abilities while cloaked*

*but depending on ability, will auto-decloak you for about 3 seconds - at times, that is a death sentence unless you get used to which skills you can and cannot use.

Both have the same number of consoles (since F2P went live)

It really seems like B'rel is a lot better, however, that hull is super low, and I get 1-shoted by BO more than I like. It starts with 21k hull, and if you put points into integrity, you can get it around 27k, which is about 2/3 of a fed escort.

All in all, I use the B'rel now, and I flew the Hegh'ta for over a year and a half and learned a lot of tricks in surviving in battles.

I would recommend beginning with the Hegh'ta, and once you learn survival techniques to where you don't die to often, then switch to the B'rel.

Another note... BoPs do not hit hard like the other escorts, their strength is their universal slots to make them versatile - many games I switch loadouts during a match to either increase defense or increase offense depending on who are my opponents.

============================================

Word of warning...If you are in a BoP, and you get tractored and Hale begins to fire on you... get ready for a respawn!

(sorry had to throw that in... he hits so hard, that you could be full shields and hull, and it won't help)

There are many good configurations for BoPs because of the universal slots. The one shown above I've used before so it will work. However, I'm more defensive in my playstyle, and at the beginning, it will take some getting used to the BoP. This is what I would suggest:

Commander: TT1, TT2, CRF2, CRF3
LtC: EPtE1, EPtW2, EPtS3
Lt. HE1, TSS2
Lt: HE1, TSS2

Put your weapons and engines at 75, and don't slow down. Yes, you will be making passes on your target, but as people begin to target you, you have a lot of maneuverability. These defenses will hold up well, and when you get in trouble, use EM and you will rocket out of there (due to your high engine power).

I like high speed as it helps in many situations. You are harder to tractor, you can normally get out of Gravety Wells with little difficulty, when they hit you with Tykon's Rift, you are normally out of the range before it takes effect, etc.

Along with that, you have an equivalent of 5 shield skills, and 2 hull heals. With the 3 EPtX skills, it helps on disables (target system attacks), and yet you can still do damage with your cannons. For loadouts I would go with 4DHC, and 2 Turrents (I prefer phasers or polarons due to disabling ability - which helps with your defense). I also use shield and eingine batteries for emergencies when my engines or shields go offline.

I am an engineer, so with that setup, I'm not easy to take down 1v1 - unless I get critted by a BO.
