# 1 Vo'Quv can use a retrofit

My personal opinion is the Vo'Quv could use a retrofit. Why? Because the corsair flight deck is a captain level ship and its just as effective if not better even though it only has 1 hangar and a bit less hull and it has 1 extra forward weapon slot. It's probably a better pick for an engineer than a vo'quv is but many people prefer the klingons bird of prey appearances to their ships versus the flying bricklike Gorn or Orion ships.

Vo'Quv could do with another engineering boff station for sure and there needs to be other fighters it can equip besides BoP's. I wouldn't mind being able to put fer'jai frigates on them. Even the kar'fi is better but alot of people do not like the way it looks because it looks like a space cuttlefish

we could use a new heavy carrier yes but dont change the layout on the one we have now or it would make it trash. its better for an eng but you need a good buff layout. it has one of the best buff layouts of any ship in the game so messing with it would only hurt it.

The devs are looking into the issue with BoPs, so they might become viable in the future. But beyond them, you can use the standard fighters and S'Kul ones. I recommend using the latter.

Anyway, the only thing I'd really care to see changed on my Vo'Quv is a boost to the turn rate. Well, that and fixing the slew of bugs with pets and the pet commands

And the Fer'Jai frigate! The Vo'Quv and Kar'Fi should be able to use *all* pets..

Right now I would settle for the existing pets it can equip in its hangars to actually work. I got so many characters that either strictly use carriers or some that can use them that are sitting on side lines until Cryptic irons this issue out and fixes them where I can play them.

Just use THE S'kull fighters with your Vo'Quv, they work great on everything but the big gates.

I hope the AI for both the Carriers Deployable get a major update.

The step up from the Vo'Quv is called the Kar'Fi. I for one think it looks wicked. If you cannot handle its look then oh well suffer the consequences. If you can take its vicious straight out of Oblivion appearance then feel free to Pwn all comers with it because it is one sick machine.

The Vo'Quv is plenty strong enough right now save the BoP issue. They are best used with fighters anyway and they cannot have the Kar'Fi frigates lol. :p The Vo'Quv is the Shield/Tank version of the Sword that is the Kar'Fi.

Also... Gorn make sleek sexy ships. Orions are the ones who make ships that resemble bricks and fecal matter.

The Kar'Fi is a tactical carrier so of course its gonna be better in term of damage,that is where the term escort carier fell onto it and even now i still call it the escort carrier. The Vo'Quv is a Sci carrier missing everything of the Sci term part except the BO spots. The Vo'Quv was the carrier while the Kar'Fi was a combat support ship before the carrier updates increasing hanger slots which brought the Kar'Fi to a point where it is a "Pay To Win" ship rendering the Vo'Quv absolutely usless, if you include and the nerfs the Vo'Quv have received over the course of STO. As history has proven in STO the flight deck cruisers are going to recive more hangers while the Vo'Quv is simply gonna get more and more nerfs untill it becomes a commander lvled ship or less at the admiral ranks. The Vo'Quv needs updates not some Cstrore crap.

I have to agree with this.

You can’t compare the VO’Quv to the Kar’Fi anymore.

The Kar’Fi has clearly become the +1 vessel and it seems the VO’Quv is becoming the afterthought.

The Kar’Fi now has 2 hangers 4 forward weapon slots a +8 turn rate over the Vo’Quv. (Going off memory here I could be wrong on the exact numbers)

The Kar’Fi stock Frigate and fighters produce more damage than the Vo’Quv’s BOP and fighters.
(And are currently working a lot better too)

The Kar’Fi has its own special console while the Vo’Quv must get its special consoles elsewhere.

The only thing that the Vo’Quv has that the Kar’Fi does not is the extra Engineering slot.

There’s no reason that the Vo’Quv should only have 3 forward weapon slots, it should have a total of 4.

Before the Kar’Fi got its buff to +1 status we were told that it was given 4 forward weapons slots and a better turn rate than the Vo’Quv to make up for the fact that it only had 1 hanger and that argument no longer holds true.

The Vo’Quv needs the 4th forward weapon slot and its own special console and if all I’d have to give up is one engineering rank to get it I’d do it in a heartbeat.

I’m sure that they’ll be a Vo’Quv refit heading our way in the near future that force our existing Vo’Quv down to captains level.
