A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
Anyone tested whether skilling 9 into Inertial Dampeners really have any effect now? Like.. by how much does it decrease Shockwave stun for instance.. or Viral Matrix, or any other ability which should be affected?
When they said they fixed the skill a week ago, I put a point I could spare into it. Tractors seem a little easier to escape with PH now (except when two are tractoring me at the same time), but haven't really been seeing a difference with PSW's effects, but I probably need more than just 1 point in there to be able to tell a difference. I have one or two inertial dampener consoles I could use on a few toons, but haven't bothered testing those as much as I was testing the shield emitter consoles for their effects on TSS.
Someone who has more respec tokens to spare would be able to test way more thoroughly than I have. The few I have left on each toon I plan on using to perfect my power levels this weekend (and I might just wait till they change ground skills next month for that anyway).
Since no skill affects PH right now, I'd like to see inertial dampeners do that.
I'd say it works on tractor beams, just noticing my unskilled tractors are now more of a slow than a hold on some escorts (ships that actually have points to spare for resists unlike science ships, sigh). As for anything else, or how much my targets skilled it up, I don't know.
Wasnt a fully specced Viral/Shockwave with the appropriate consoles but I doubt we gain much if it were to be a full spec.
...
/ditch skill.
I have a hard time understanding what you did to test it, however on this point specifically, there are NO consoles that buff subspace decompilers, and only graviton deflectors buff it either as the one of the main skills, yet its not part of any set deflector. Its also a far more expensive skill to buy, both in direct cost and opportunity cost, so I think it is understandable that the effects from the defensive skill are not that impressive.
But PSW and VM aren't the only things inertial dampners guards against.

It was just about how effective it would be on these abilities, thank you.
I just used combatlogs for it, and fraps down to the millisecond, figuring out the duration of the ability. I've just timed Viral matrix for the full duration, not the individual subsystem downs, result should be the same, just divided by 4.
Shockwave same story...
I would say if these hardly get decreased by skilling into a Tier 4 skill I doubt the other skills which fall under this defensive skill that would be decreased, wouldnt have great effect either.
I was just gathering information for my own benefit
/You misread about the buff part, I just said the tester I've tested with probably didnt have fully skilled VM3 or Shockwave to the 100%, but it wouldnt matter much for the outcome of the test.
