I've equipped my Excelsior with some turrets (3) and in battle I've seen that the energy, while the turrets are shooting, decrease very quickly and then go back to nominal levels always very quickly. When the arrays are shooting, conversely, the energy wax and wane slowly.
I wonder: are the turrets so energy-hungry, or what?
Besides: the damage of the turrets is energy-depending, like the beams, or it is a fixed amount, like the torpedoes?

beam weapon damage is based upon the current weapon power at the time of firing.

The turrets Rate of Fire is why the power level drops quicker than with the beams.
