I use one medic and two turreters, i'm thinking of making the last officer a science officer who specialises in stunning or holding large groups of people but it's next to impossible to find info on this game and the descriptions on the skills aren't enough to allow me to know exactly how good each skill is. Add to this the fact that so many skills are rare and expensive to find i can't accurately test them all
So does anyone have any suggestions on what 4 skills I should use for my crowd control science officer
People always mention how helpful and great the STO community is. I gotta tell you I just don't see it. Nobody ever replies on the forums or in game, it's impossible to get advice or help.

Something like that. These subforums are like the catacombs of the community, only specific members with speciic knowledge ever show up, the Academy forum is probably your best bet for tons of replies.
For crowdcontrol, the most useful skills are anything that helps limit area or make the AI not want to go through an area, so the one that use fire or roots on an area always do a great job. For a tactical officer, the plasma grenade does well in area denial as well.
