I think a lot of new players fail to understand it is a warzone. I have been playing it a lot on my Klingon tactical officer lately, because I am really bored with the PvE at this point and I have played several hundred STFs on my Federation Science officer without a single prototype drop.

I started liking Ker'rat because it feels like a genuine Star Trek experience: a cloaked Klingon ship sneaking up on a unsuspecting enemy vessel and then springing its trap, but a number of times lately I have been cursed out or people will write, I'm just farming dilithium; leave me alone.

If people want to farm dilithium in PvE, there are a number of other missions they can do. I usually only try to go after the T-5 ships, so it is not as if I am using a "connie" for target practice. Maybe it needs to be more clearly stated that this is a war zone, which means you are expected to be ready to defend yourself against Klingon attack.

Because it is easier for them to complain than to train up the skills necessary to survive in a hostile environment.

because cryptic decided to make any interaction between pvp minded and pve minded people.

pve minded people just dont understand why they cant complete their mission wihtout being attacked.

Ker'rat ain't fun without being attacked by the klingons - how else are you supposed to get better at PvP? At times it's funny as hell seeing (and actually hearing) a klingon decloak behind you, only to fail miserably even bringing your shields down... I even let them try 2 or more times before shooting back.

That being said, a quick word on etiquette: If you see 2 guys going at it, 20km or more from the spawnpoint - DON'T get involved. It's a 1v1, and you're not welcome to join in. Let them have their fun. And losers: It's not like it'll kill you if you congratulate the winner - something like "good fight" would be sufficient.

Have a good death !

But I don't understand why the noobies are mercilessly attacked at Ker'rat! They just want farming in peace...leave them alone, you dogs of war!
I never vaporized lower level Klis, sometimes is funny decloaking next to scare them and I immediately go away without attacking.
The warzone should mean that only the strong players who want to compete in a dynamic and unpredictable environment as Ker'rat must fight each other, it's not honorable to destroy people doing PvE only all the time.
This is not the best way to attract new players to the art of PvP.
The few times I can connect I go hunting for the best of the best, for example the other night I was reading in chat the Star Dagger usual fanatic comments, but unfortunately I didn't succeed getting in his instance...lucky Romulan...

best thing to do when people complain in kerrat is to hunt them.

and them after you kill them linger in their smoke cloud of a former ship so they know exactly who killed them.

rinse...repeat. and then banter with star*dagger for a bit.

have fun kill bad guys

I find it even funnier when I'll be flying around in a cruiser or non cloaking ship and HEAR powers being fired off from a cloaked ship.. I'll be like "Ok that's probobly HY..that's probobly Beam overload.. that's probobly Attack pattern Alpha...that's Beta... that's Go down fighting.. that's Tac Init.. that's Tac Fleet.." Right before they decloak and start fireing and I'll just pop my Tac Fleet the instant I hear the decloak and see even one set of DHC's fireing at my shields.

Listen.. people can hear you buff up if your TOO CLOSE. And most Tac Buffs Last 30 seconds.. so buff further away then approch!

If you want to 1v1... Do it in a PRIVATE MATCH.. Doing it in Ker'rat is more like a fight club.. and it can be broken up at any time by the PVP Police. :p
