# 1 Consumable Transwarp Coils....
03-12-2012, 10:11 PM
But I noticed in the D-Store that you can purchase consumable transwarp coils that alllow a one per use jump to virtually any sector. My lament is that they are not permanent.

I'm a VA with a fully decked out ship and character and BOFFs in all end game gear. I'm racking up dilithium but don't really want to spend anyway that you could make the abilities permanant?

Say if I have to pay 32,000 per coil, that coil when consumed gives me the ability to always be able to jump to sector blah blah blah. If I want to add another sector; get another 32,000 Dilithium, wash, rinse, repeat. It will give me something to work towards grinding the purple rock.

Pretty please? With sugar on top?

I think the 32k is a bit too expensive also, but they should remain as a consumable. I would have thought that a better way to obtain these were as rewards for destroying Borg Cubes in the Red Alerts (Like in Voyager)

Yeah 32,000 is steep but you have to start somewhere. Also, I suppose I could live with them remainiing consumables if they were drops as you suggested. Either way would make me happy.

Why don't you convert your Dilithium into C-Points and get the T5 Excelsior, with the built-in Transwarp ability to go to most sectors...

Or you could just fly everywhere. It takes, what, 10-15 minutes tops to go from one end of the galaxy to the other? It's not THAT long... *Chugs along*

Level up to Ambassador through the DOff system, it gives you 3 transwarps that are quite useful. Also, you can transwarp to most missions for only 100-500EC.

I picked up a set for my Klink that is still at lower tiers on the DOff system. I've only used one (of 10) so far, and don't expect to need any more for quite a while.

Ya at 32k these things are useless. It would take me longer to get 32k dilithium then it would for me to get to my destination, since it takes roughly 15 mins to cross the game map. I would really like to know the thought process behind the price.

A dilithium sink for impatient people.

Many of us have little use for dilithium at the moment, having been kitted out for the most part with everything it will give us. But that won't always be the case, eventually new items are going to be added that are purchasable with dilithium, and they're going to be gobbled up by the people who are sitting on hundreds of thousands/millions of dilithium, and then it's going to be worthless again.

Besides, I really doubt you'd be using all 10 up before you picked up 32k again. If you are, you're just very impatient and I'd suggest picking up a few mission replays to warp around with EC.
