Hi Captains!

In honor of Friday the 13th, we are going to be releasing a new mini-mission called Hearts and Minds this Friday. More information about it will be released in a Dev Blog tomorrow, but I wanted to give you all a heads up so you can start making plans to be in-game to experience this new, horror-themed episode.

Unlike normal community events I post about, there will not be individual timeslots for this particular event. Feel free to jump in-game on Friday and team up with fellow players. Also, join the REDALERT channel to ask for a team (although the mission can be done solo if you'd rather). I will be jumping in-game randomly throughout the day to play through it with you all, too!

We hope to see many of you in-game on Friday for Hearts and Minds!

Cheers,

Brandon =/\=

Is this a permanent or temporary addition to the game? Also you refer to this both as a "mini mission" and an "episode". So is it actually an episode?

It is a teeny weeny itty bitty mission that takes about 3 minutes to run. At least you get a purple doff out of it.

When it was advertiesed as though it would be a horror mission I was hoping it'd be more like the pitch black Dividian mission which is one of my favorites. Very dark and sinister environment with the DOOM3 like flashlight thing chasing stuff around in the dark. That was very cool.

I abandonned the mission because I thought there was a bug. Now it's on a 1d 15h cd.
Why doesn't the cd trigger when you have successfully completed the mission?

Now I am unable to claim the rewards because I tried to clean a bug (which wasn't) and abandonned the mission...
Players shouldn't be panalized for such things seriously

I have had that happen to me in the past. It should not trigger the cool down unless it is completed.

On top of that Season 6 is under heavy development which will bring a new Defera like ground invasion, several new 5 man events, new 20 man Fleet events that take place at your starbase, along with starbase construction missions, the start of the PVP overhaul, new Foundry content and anything else like tonight's episode that someone on the team wants to spend their own after hours time making.

So while I can understand the frustration of the last year, since we launched F2P, it has been a lot more content and a lot more on the way
Pity, b/c that ground invasion is one of the most pointless things in this game so far.

I do hope though that KDF get a lot more love (ha!) this next Season
