I heard there was a limit, but I have no idea what it is.

Since there are a lot of players here who have been playing since before the game was officially launched, I was thinking maybe somebody here might know. So, if you could tell me, I'd really appreciate it.

If I recall correctly, the maximum number of Commissioned Officers is 54.

54 is the highest if you buy the extra slots. For Gold members, you get 12 slots by the time you hit the level cap. I forget whether the Silver players get six or eight at level cap. Slots beyond these base numbers must be purchased from the C-store.
