# 1 Fastest ship in the Galaxy
05-07-2012, 12:07 AM
As an interesting build I'm looking for a way to increase the map level speed of my ship(s). I saw a MACO engine that allowed multiple slip stream jumps, but I was thinking of just basic warp speeds.

Thanks in advance.

Transwarp with 4min cooldown is often the fastest. Depends how often you want to move between systems.

Borg engines are faster than the MACO ones I think?

Fastest ship is currently an Excelsior retrofit with Borg engine. It can Transwarp to almost all sector blocks, and when it's not transwarping it's traveling at over warp factor 20 with the subtranswarp engine.

also remember that you can boost your sector space speed by speccing into driver coils.

Full speed on sector map... Borg engine you can have a sustain speed of 20.93.

Another way is use "no common" Oddysey with Omega engine. You'll get double quantum slipstream time with half recharge time and you can go to 29.90 a big part of time.

Ok, so I need the hi-end borg engine, I can start working on that (a few STFs should do it right?)

Is this a officer skill or console?
