That is how I would do it. Give it a "Actual Interior" and I would be one happy Admiral.

Ablative, it does not mean what you think it does.

ablative is for armor not shields, and it means that it sacs a pannel of armor to defeat a enemy weapon pojectile instead of the armor/hull taking the damage.

Differance between defiants ablative and the intrepids was the intrepid had a generator that constantly replaced the destroyed panels.

Lots of modern combat vechiles employ ablative armor now. Its generally a layer of steel with some kind of explosive behind it like c4. When an incoming round is detected/hits the panel explodes outward directing the blast away from the vechile.

Hope that explains it for anyone who doesnt get it. Id rather it have the corbanite deflector shield from armada but that would bring a lawsuit. Could call it something else and make it do same thing, 15 sec where any projectile that hits you the dmg is bounced back. Teach those 1 shotting borg whose boss eh?

Improvement on the standard sovereign class e.g turn rate, skin tight shields, more weapon slots, improved warp core, special quantum torpedo launcher which does not take up a slot. Another science boff and possibly another tac. Would like the ablative generator but don't see that happening. And the Picard manoeuvre. Thats all I can think off for now.

Edit: Also she will looking like the nemesis final phase sovereign class plus the 2409 skin too.

That's what a reactive armour does . To quote Memory Alpha:
Quote:
Ablative armor is a type of protective hull plating used on starships, which possesses a capability for rapidly dissipating the energy impacts from directed energy weapon fire.

No we did not forget about the argo shuttle. I would have the skin-tight shield resilient shield. A little better than the maco but can only be used on cruisers. Or maybe special phasers like the ones we saw in nemesis. Rapid phasers dealing high dps. So its competes with cannons but can only be used on AC.

i think the impulse modifier must be a little higher because if anyone noticed it was very fast in the battle in nemesis.

Standard Armor: Makes the target harder so its more difficult to damage
Reactive Armor: Neutralizes attacks with an equal but opposite force.
Ablative Armor: Absorbs the damage in a controlled manner.
Correct:

Therefore, I had imagined that Ablative Regenerative shields would be a shield that absorbs damage in a controlled method; while also regenerating after the initial abortion.

That is why I put a resistance modifier on the shield, to simulate the fact that the shield could absorb the damage. However, perhaps it would be better to increase its absorption modifier +5% rather than reducing the damage to shields.

Ablative Regenerative or Ablative Resilient shields be better? I like this idea. But I hope it will not be a console which takes up a slot. Rather have it as a special ability.
