Im not sure if it was a glitch or if anyone even noticed but the Atrox can load Dual Cannons! i tried it one day because i do stupid things and it worked! i have 3 RCS consoles and 90 engine power and 2 dual cannons So i fly it as an escort because i always flew escorts till the Atrox it was just soooo pretty i had to have it! The LCMDR engineering and all of the Science Boff stations make this ship formidable, in PVP it takes 3 players to take down one! I went against another guy in an Atrox so it was Atrox vs. Atrox and we fought for like 10 min. and nobody won because this ship can take a hell of a beating and survive. So take into consideration that it CAN equip dual cannons and the VoQuv cannot, personally i hate beams they take forever to mow down an opponant and the target subsytem abilities are useless against the Borg in STF's or PVP so i never even use them. I would like more TAC. stations but oh well! The 20% bonus shields are very nice especially if you are used to an escort -10% shields. That in combination with its 40,000 hull (the Oddysey has 42,500) and all of its SCI and ENG stations probable make it the best survivability ship in the entire FED faction! And being able to use my mk XII antiproton dual heavy cannons to mow down cubes is a nice bonus!

VoQuv can equip cannons, dual cannons, and dual heavy cannons too (or quad, had Klinks have access to it). Those carriers are science ships, not cruisers. Working as intended. Not a glitch.

I am sorry but this is a horrible setup. Just because it is possible doesn't mean it is good or makes any sense.

i like cannons but don't seem to do well with them on slower turning ships. i just recently got the atrox and i like it so far, but i use beams, a beam array and an aft torpedo and that seems to work pretty good. i try crazy things too and may have to check cannons out on the atrox.

Just because one can do something, doesn't mean they should.

I'm one of those fools who can fly a Dread with DHC and make it work, but even I won't put them on an Atrox or Vo'Quv.

Not sure what you mean but there is a Klingon Quad Disruptor Cannon on the Tier 3 BoP Refit.

There is a place for DHC on a carrier - when doing probe duty for KASx.

Aft DHCs might actually be useful, though only circumstantially so; probably not enough to justify running them on a regular basis.

Just becouse you can dose not mean it is a good idea. With turn rate you would not get much use out if them.

Nice way to put some one down guys, "just because you can do something dosent mean you should" makes it sound like he is preforming some great sin or something.

1) its perfectly acceptable to do that if you regularly are preforming blockade duty in stfs, which if you are you have a nice set of CC tools your using anyway (Tractor beams and Grav wells) to get all your duckies in a row for popping.

2) your actually not moving a huge amount in stfs, other than to turn to bear down on yet another slow moving Borg Zombie. Anything faster and you have your cc and fighters to take them out.

3) in pvp, you can do it but not a great idea, i can agree on that.

This is an amazing ship and can do amazing things. For prophets sake Feds have a WHOLE wing of runabouts each with tractor beams, if you cant bring your front to bear between your CC, slow moving Cyber Zombies, and 6 tractor happy runabouts, I dont know what to tell you, i can tell you i would kill for those runabouts on my klink carrier.
