# 1 Drag 'n' Drop map making?
06-13-2012, 08:45 AM
So while browsing stuff for all sorts of games as I am prone to do, I came across this video that shows the map editor tool they're using for the game City of Steam, and it got me thinking of Foundry and the upcoming updates that are supposed to be coming with Neverwinter.

Watching this video, what if Foundry could work this way? Just draw a rectangle to define room spaces and corridors? Tile sets to apply to walls and floors and pre-defined room shapes? Fill in a space with some random tiles and then tweak it out to get just the look you want?

That would be awesome almost reminds me of a simple version of the level editor for the fallout series i had hours of fun messing around in that.

The idea is great and would allow us to create unique maps. I especially like the 3D views, makes placing assets a doddle. I doubt this will ever be on Foundry, but fingers crossed.
