Hey, all.

I have a tactical officer and for various reasons (role-playing and practical), I love to equip him with a pet and use it as often as possible. Tactical Initiative helps with this IMMENSELY, as it cuts down the cooldown from 4 minutes and more to about 1 minute, 15 seconds, but is there anything else that I can do to help with that? Although I can get it going for spurts of up to 2 minutes at a time and can cycle it once every 2-3 minutes with judicious use of TI, I'd like to know if there's an easier way, especially one that I can use keybinds with - it's too easy to forget that kind of thing in the middle of a firefight.

I have heard equipping multiple pets won't help as they all share the same cooldown, and unless it'll actually WORK I'd rather not do that. For reference, I use a Crystal Horta as my combat pet, although I've given thought to trying an Acid Horta.

My only suggestion (when doing STFs) is to take the shard of possibilities instead. It has an AOE confuse on it for 5s which is really nice for clearing aggro. Combine it with doffs for extra escorts and your pet force will be formidable and often survive until the next time you need to cast it.

They may share cooldowns, but they don't all get the same amount. You can use 2 hortas for example, when you use the first, the second gets a cooldown of just 1 minute (while the original gets 3 minutes or so).
