I honestly am not one to cry 'NERF!!!' and complain, but the Mirror Event is insane...

...with the over use of tractor beams.

Literally every cruiser and battleship has tractor beams and the battleships have repulsors. Even using Omega, when you get ensnared by 6 or more ships, you're free to move but you still take the kinetic damage which basically rips your ship apart instantly, especially if you have a repulsor hitting you as well.

Devs, I'm not saying that the Mirror ships damage should be reduced, or the Stadi should be make weaker or anything like that. I think, however, that maybe you should look at the tractor beams on these ships. Maybe consider making it so they won't all pummel the same ship with them (it gets pointlessly horrific if some schmuck runs off and aggros one or two other groups - I've LITERALLY been killed without a shot hitting me from nothing but tractor beams) a really considering increasing the cool down slightly.

Thank you, and I promise (okay, not promise, but will diligently try my hardest) to never ask for a nerf again.

You could try attack pattern omega or polarize hull?

If anything, I find this event way too easy (at least at VA levels). I've played a cruiser and an escort without issue using Polarize Hull, Evasive Maneuvers, and APO. And I don't even have STF gear.

I don't care how long you've been playing. I only care about how you play.

There CAN be a rather ridiculous number of tractors flying around at one time, considering the sheer numbers of vessels arrayed against you. I actually still find polarize hull to be rather squiffy and not nearly as reliable as AP:O. Doesn't mean I don't advocate its use, but I'm usually unsurprised (albeit incredibly irritated) when im still not moving after popping it. Only other tactic I can suggest is to stay beyond the 5km redzone. Easier said then done I know, but it may be a while before these get toned down. If ever.

Concerning the schmuck that runs off and aggros without forethought or plan, two quotes to live by: "Let them die!" and "RUN AWAY!!"

I certainly don't think any other part of it needs to be changed, and I think the whole thing is, surprisingly for these guys, perfectly balanced, and I didn't mean to imply that.

I honestly don't remember the massive tractor spam before S6. I knew some of them had it, but maybe I did something to up my DPS and draw all the aggro. vOv

I just get a little frumpy when I'm basically ripped to shreds, shields at 100 percent, because I'm caught in a barrage of tractors and repulsors.

Would be nice if they had diminishing returns at least so no one could actually kill you with tractor beams.

(This is literally the only gameplay mechanic I have ever complained about in 460 days. I think I have earned the right to vent a bit. )
