Having done a lot of ground lately,
I find that the sniper rifles special attack is significantly to slow compared to other weapons special/secondary attack. They are all nearly instant while the sniper takes several seconds.
In fact it takes so long that enemies that are running up to you are pretty much up in your face during the time the attack preps. Or the other way, just run up to the enemy and pulsewave his face off is quicker then shooting him with the sniper.
So i would like to see the secondary attack prep time be reduced to get it more in line of the requirements in ground combat.

If you're close enough that they can run up to you in that period of time, then you're using the sniper rifle wrong. You're supposed to use a sniper rifle for... sniping... It's not supposed to be a close range weapon. You use it to take out as many of the enemies as you can at extreme range, and then when they get close enough, switch to a higher DPS, closer range weapon.
You're supposed to send your BOff's in to fight, while you stay back to 'Snipe'...
Unfortunately, as soon as you snipe the first enemy, they all tend to run toward you, not your BOff's.

It is the short side of being able to shot at pretty much anything outside their firing range...
Bingo, low DPS, high burst damage, much as it should be.
