All types of these items will be immediately converted to Omega Marks and Borg Neural Processors when the owning character logs in for the first time after Season 7 releases.
Any items converted this way will go into a storage device which cannot be retrieved until the character reaches Tier 5 in the Task Force Omega Reputation System.
The storage device, called an Omega Conversion Crate, will denote how much of each item is stored for later retrieval and will remain locked until you achieve Tier 5 in the Omega Reputation System. Once unlocked, your character will be able to retrieve the Omega Marks and Borg Commodities that were converted along with a bonus amount of Dilithium Ore.
The Omega Marks (and Dilithium Ore) can then be used immediately to assist in purchasing any unlocked gear set rewards. After reviewing the data, the conversion rate for most players will allow for the purchase of a partial and in some case full set of their choosing. Or, if you?re already fully geared, an option will be available to convert surplus Omega Marks into additional Dilithium Ore.
1. Are you going to give us hard numbers at any point before season 7 hits?
2. If you are going to give us hard numbers, when will you give them?
To anyone besides the devs, and in my honest opinion at this point in time, unless you have a metric ton of stuff, either use it now, or convert it to dilithium, you'll probably be happier.

A bird in the hand so to speak. Though I don't see the point in converting until questions 1 and 2 are answered, but converting first seems like it will be the sensible course of action.
The blog was, frankly, pile of useless waffle. Yes yes, it's being converted somehow. Anyone could figure that part out. The question is: At what exchange rates? If it's a 1:1 with current dilithium/part then, whatever, I understand putting in a locked box opening at T5 rep, some weird stuff could happen if it it opened before that and yet you couldn't use what you got or the like. If it is some other rate then we need to know that first.
If it was me, and, granted, it's not, I would think the conversion should be either slightly to the benefit of the player or exactly even. People who are inactive right now shouldn't come back to being completely gimped but they shouldn't come back to instant tier 5 free everything overnight.

As part of these store changes, the existing ?Anti-Borg? weaponry will be phased out, but will be replaced by newly upgraded weaponry that utilizes unique high-quality weapon models, and employs an improved anti-Borg damage proc that scales based on weapon firing speeds (slow weapons will deliver large bursts of kinetic damage, while fast weapons will deliver smaller hits on each pulse).
Just to clarify, if we already have [Borg] weapons (standard issue, non-sets), will they be automatically replaced, or we'll be stuck with old versions? It was already asked previously, and the post got a response, but not to this specific point.

As far as I've heard, anything you currently have, you will still have. It is not being "removed" or changed other than the Omega Set which is having the 4 set bonus applied to having only 3 items equipped. (meaning that previously you need 4 items to get the set bonus, now you can have the 4 set bonus for just having 3 pieces equipped). The console from that set is also getting included in an additional set (weapons+console) that can be equipped with the old Omega set.
There will be a new type of Borg weapon available in the store that will be different than the current ones, so we do not plan to update your existing one to the new type.
Wow the hive what a load of friggen crap i was so angry to hear of yet another boring time consuming land stf I do not like land not one bit. So what about those of us who want more space missions more real action like star trek is suppose to be. believe me when i say there is a lot of people like me who do not want to waste time on stupid land levels. A lot of people want space or an even mix of both not just land land land land land grrrrr why did i pay for this game you wonder thats right i paid for it now i see people with more money than i blowing away my hard earned VET status totally unfair and very disrespectful to loyal players who have played this game for 2 years ish. Come on devs do some real game making and stop running the same stupid boring crap borg story if it is even that! oh yea there is no story that's the real issue here. People grind and grind i mean if i wanted to do that then i will go to work. And to build a starbase to reap rewards then having to pay again to obtain the gear dang annoying. Well i guess its all about money and not the people aye a classic FU to the broke and a fingers up for the ones who have a disposable income. Can only hope that there is something there for everyone peace trekkers.
Protips! You'll thank me later.

Does this mean that the existing MACO and KHG artwork will no longer be available, and reserved only for people who have already unlocked it? Or are the existing MACO and KHG sets still possible in the new system??
EDIT: NVM, FOUND IT!
