A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
Ok, season 7 is going to land soon and screw up/fix (depending on your position) aquiring STF gear.
I'm looking to upgrade my Vo'Quv PvE build - I have been lucky enough to bag both the HG and Omega mk12 shields, and I got a prototype engine tech yesterday in CSE, and a rare deflector tech sat in the bank. At the moment I'm using 3 piece borg + HG shield.
Currently I'm running polaron weapons, but the damage is a bit lacking - enter stage left my cunning plan to combine polarized disruptors with the tet glider 2 piece bonus from the Omega set, to give me (hopefully) a triple proc build that will be a bit more effective, allowing me to strip shields quicker and debuff hull resistance to maximise torp damage from my advanced BOPs.
I can use either shield to get the 2 piece bonus, and have the tech available to get a three piece combination - I'm pretty sure I'll be stuck with whatever I pick for a good couple of months, so I would really appreciate some advice.

the KHG set seems more angled toward bigger ships and ships with pets, than small stuff, you run a Vo'Quv, which pretty much DEFINES "BIG ship with Pets". (Omega gives the gravitic anchor, which is nice if you have the speed to take advantage of paralyzing someone for a few seconds) but HG grants this nifty area-stealthing for friendlies (including pets on escort orders). It's not perfect concealment, but it does help.
I believe you had a typo and meant to say you were looking to upgrade your PvP gear
From PvE testing on tribble yesterday using 3 part KHG I found out the following:
1. You can use it while in combat.
2. You can use all abilities while it's active.
3. It gives AoE defensive bonus.
4. Not sure on the "stealth" part since there was no one around to test in PvP.
5. I don't know if the "stealth" is based on aux when activate or fluctuates as aux fluctuates since there was no obvious "stealth" listed. But, there was a "stealth detection". This is odd b/c w/cloak you do see what your stealth rating is.
It's hard to say what Tet Glider's usefulness will be, since there's so many changes to shields and procs added which repair shields from consoles and reputation system. But, for a carrier I'd lean toward KHG set espcially if you plan on using mines as I assume it would stack w/thier built in MES.

Yesterday I ran my Hegh'ta with KHG, and then switched over to the Bortasque, which got 2 pieces of Omega and a Fleet deflector (can't seem to make that XII salvage deflector on KASE...)
HG worked pretty much like normal for the BoP, though running the Mask Energy signature DID seem to help the others when those two Unimatrix ships showed up. otoh, Engine/shield combo for the Omega seemed to just make the same borg in a different mission instance go "Oooh, EASY target!!"
For PVP, I suspect Tet Glider's more useful than MES unless you have pets-which the OP does, for a Carrier with no turn and OMG levels of inertia, I suspect KHG will work better even in the two-part set, than Omega, which seems more geared for Escorts in terms of it's abilities.
I think the Omega shield is kind of lack luster compared to the MACO and KHG options so it would be Omega engine(fastest in game according to some) and Omega deflector (highest damage lowest toughness deflector) if I wanted the tetryon glider.
That said my experience with tetryon glider has indicated it's not worth using. Shield drain effects are highly resisted right now and the bonus to DPS from the drain will probably be less than being a kilometer or so closer to a shielded target.

I haven't tested in awhile, but last I checked NPC, pet, console, and Tet glider effects were less resistable. Also, Tet glider damage wasn't range effected. Although shield distro and borg sets are being adjusted there are consoles and reputation bonuses which may more than make up for those loses meaning every bit of shield stripping will help.
On the other hand, on a VoQuv and if you are willing to run Flow caps consoles, Tetryon Glider might be worth a 2pc Omega/KG shield combination.
KHG gives a bonus to torpedo damage... does your Carrier use torpedos?
Ultimately, though, you will just gave to test it for yourself. ^^
As a Sci Captain, I am already specced for flow caps & particles, I don't use any torpedoes on the Vo'Quv, the BOP pets provide torp damage - and I'm not convinced that the KHG set will buff the BOPs torps.

I am fairly certain that it won't.
Well, I would say it is 2pc Omega and KHG shield for you then?
