So... MTV is reporting rumors that following the Lucas acquisition, Disney may be buying Hasbro. Hasbro owns D&D. Aka Neverwinter.
This would make Cryptic a Disney licensee on Neverwinter.
It would also mean that Disney's MMOs would be spread across a number of development houses, including Cryptic, Bioware/EA, Gazillion, and Disney Interactive.

Frankly, I find that unlikely. It would be more likely that Disney would offer to buy Cryptic or pay a license termination fee, if possible, on Neverwinter and DDO in favor of an in house online D&D game since they prefer to be the distributor for their own property.
Or NW would get delayed and Disney would jump in as a co-publisher.
I have to imagine in the event of a Hasbro acquisition, they'd value D&D highly along with Transformers and G.I.Joe and look to play an active role in things like Neverwinter.
It would be a lot different dealing with Disney than dealing with CBS on STO. The flip side is that I think Disney would pump resources into NW in some fashion, assuming they didn't have a way to pull it back for a termination fee. And they'd probably have things they'd actively ask to include more than being a straight yes or no approval type deal. I've heard CBS has done some of that but I can see Disney being much more hands on... But also pumping cash into promotional expenses in exchange for the cooperation they'd be demanding.
It's all rumors. Possibly interesting ones though.

*chuckles* Leviathan, don't take my comment too seriously, that's my jump-to-far-off-conclusions side. It comes with the job of being chief intelligence officer in your fleet.

If this means we can have Drizzt beat the **** out of Darth Maul in the next Kingdom Hearts game.....
....I would be okay with that honestly.......
Or Wheelie from Transformers and Jar Jar could meet up at Disneyland.
