I have not come that far with the reputation system. But the necessary number of marks to get a new project running seems to be extremely low. What I have seen on the wiki so far, is not particularly demanding either.

Due to the timer I wonder if it is still worth playing stfs as often as before season 7. Plus, there are now so many ways to earn marks. I already have 200 marks of each type. If the mark requirements do not increase excessively during the end, I will always get stuck with tons of marks I am never going to use.

I think the store unlock projects, and other special projects, as well as probably later tiers, will require more marks, so I'm operating from the presumption that it can't hurt to build up a little surplus.
