Do carrier pets benefit from the player's skill levels at all? For instance, would having 9 ranks in Shield Emitters increase the healing of a Shield Repair Unit at all?

Would having weapons skills improve the damage of a peregrine fighter pet?

As I understand it, neither Captain skills, Boff abilities, nor equipped consoles affect pets.
