i keep finding these shuttle data modules... what are they for?

Are we talking about the ones that you could use to build the delta flyer, which were so rudely removed to force people to pay for the ship?

Still have the Delta Flyer Schematic on one character. Only levelled up that character to get a cowardly pacifist that was permanently traumatized by the Vega Colony tutorial to 50. Beyond annoying before the Duty Officer system. Too easy after the Duty Officer system.

During a replay of some Klingon episodes I scanned a space anomaly and got that included with the rewards. 1 so far. But I only scanned 2 space anomalies during a replay of 4 episodes.

Found it today.

A replay of Klingon story arc episodes as my federation char.

I found one a few months ago as well. I don't remember anything about it other than wondering why I got it, and hoping it meant we could maybe still craft the Delta Flyer.

Why was that removed in the first place?

Pretty sure that if you still have the Delta Flyer daily mission in your log, you'll still get shuttle data if you scan anomalies while in a shuttle.
