There is no incentive to try new foundry mission... most just sit there, as far as i can tell.. i made a mission that was viewed as quite imaginative by the very few to play it... it sat in the review section for i dont know how long anymore.. i advertised it, but nobody wants to go play new missions that have no reward.
Diving into the review section isnt the same as diving into the "featured" section at all. in the "review" section. You never know what you are going to get in there.. so what is the incentive to go try them? I am quite sure there are some fantastic stories to be told in there, but nobody sees them, cuz why would they? Why go there, with no possibility of any reward at all, when you could just as easily do anything else and get something.
Maybe make a daily reward for trying a certain number of the ones in the review section.. like 3. do three quests, get a prize.. then at least id dip my head in there and look around.
There are some people, like me, who really enjoy playing newer foundry missions. I get excited sometimes at the prospect of discovering a gemstone that nobody else has seen.
Admittedly, I don't play all the missions under the "review" tab. No one does; there are too many. If you want your mission played, try writing an intriguing teaser to grab our attention. We can only play so many missions, and I prefer missions that sound interesting.
I'm always open and willing to try any mission. Would you like me to try yours?
I was commenting on the situation as a whole while i was looking through it, and noticed the same thing.. there are a ton. to play a lot of them takes time, and with no reward, its the diamond in the rough that makes it worth it. But, if there were a reward, then i suspect more would try them, and it would be more exciting. I'm easy to please.. throw me a bone. lol.. a token.. something. if it is shiny, all the better. GPL is nearly usless. gimme 100 of those for three review quests. lol.
It is almost as if the incentive program is backwards...maybe all missions should start out as giving rewards for the first week they are originally published and *then* apply the current "must be played 10-20 times (and or ratings)" for rewards to remain in effect.
Or else come up with a lesser first week (or whatever) "mission introductory" reward and then apply the current system.
I'd guess a majority of players don't read the foundry forum, sbugc, podcasts, etc. ... they open up the foundry and look for their grind and maybe try something else out.

The reason I play them is that they are usually better than Cryptic's missions. (No offense Cryptic, you have a few really good ones too.) There are hundreds of games worth of missions on the foundry and to even be able to use the damn thing, you have to be fairly intelligent so there aren't a lot of terrible missions.
